Our story
Founders. Artists. Nostalgics.
Vinty was founded by Parris and Randolph — a newlywed couple from Bergen County, New Jersey, now proudly rooted in Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina. After meeting over a decade ago in New York, their story has always been one of artistry, love, and timeless moments.
With backgrounds in film — not behind the camera, but in front of it — their eye for emotion runs deep. Parris was a child actress in The Lion King on Broadway and appeared in national commercials directed by legends like Spike Lee. Randolph is an RIAA Certified Gold songwriter and recording artist who’s collaborated with DJs and musicians across the globe. Together, they’ve lived in front of the lens — and now, they’ve stepped behind it.
As children of the Y2K era, their inspiration runs on Kodak flashes and camcorder hums — the soft click of a point-and-shoot, the iconic 30x zoom of a Sony Handycam. It's an aesthetic too special to be lost to time — and too powerful not to bring back.
At Vinty, we capture events and everyday beauty using vintage formats like Super 8 film, 2000s camcorders, and on-demand film photography. Each medium we use is designed to evoke something deeper: nostalgia for those who lived through it, and wonder for those experiencing it anew.
Our philosophy is simple:
“In a world full of digital noise -
we preserve the tangible.”
The imperfect. The textural. The hold-in-your-hands kind of memory.
